This previous Sunday I gave a sermon over Lamentations 3:21-26 and focusing on the point that God’s mercies are new every day. And if you read the scriptures, you can see the fantastic news that, not only are his mercies new every day, but it also says that the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end.

So, what does all this mean? God’s love for you is unchanging. No matter where you are or what you have done in life, God loves you. No matter how far you think you have strayed, or how great the sin is that you think it can never be forgiven, God says because of my never-ending love for you I will have mercy on you, and that is an unending offer. Instead of judgment there is restoration, and each morning is a new opportunity to experience God’s grace. When we go to God in repentance, he is willing to begin new with us. How great is this!!

Vs. 25 says, “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” I pray that you seek him, develop a desire to serve him and do his will. And remember that waiting on God does not mean sitting around doing nothing, there is always work to be done.
